Year comes to a close for Queensland Rugby League

What a year 2020 has been.

It was a year that brought its challenges with COVID-19, but showed Queenslanders could step up, show resilience and band together to make the year as good as it could be.

There was community football, when most thought sport would not happen, thanks to all of the volunteers and staff across the state.

The Queensland Maroons and Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons both delivered the shields back to Queensland.

Off the field, QRL delivered the Female Strategy, Reconciliation Action Plan and Diversity and Inclusion Framework, as well as complete a full re-brand.

A fresh look for Queensland Rugby League's future

Queensland Rugby League today shuts its doors for the festive period, with staff returning on January 4 next year.

The QRL wishes all Queensland supporters, players, volunteers, officials and fans a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and urge them to enjoy a safe and happy festive season.

Bring on a spectacular 2021.
