Tickets for Rugby League’s showpiece Ampol State of Origin, which returns to Perth in 2022, are now on sale.

The Ampol State of Origin Series returns to Perth’s Optus Stadium on Sunday, June 26 - after a record crowd of 59,721 attended the first ever Origin match in Western Australia in 2019.

Tickets are also on sale for Game One, at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on June 8, and Game Three, at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on July 13.

Tickets are available from $45 for Ticketed Club Members for all three Origin matches and $49 for non-members.

Fans are urged to get in quick to secure their seat for Game Two in Perth, with tickets being released in stages.

Tickets will initially be sold for every second row of the stadium, in keeping with the 50 per cent capacity rule under current WA Government health restrictions.

There will be a second release of tickets when COVID-19 restrictions ease and the stadium’s capacity limits increase.

“The 2019 State of Origin event was a huge success for WA - particularly for tourism businesses, with close to 11,700 people visiting WA for the game, spending more than $19 million,” Tourism Minister Roger Cook said.

“It provided a massive boost for our state’s accommodation providers, restaurants, cafes and other tourism businesses.

“On top of that, the event’s television broadcast gives us an incredibly valuable platform to promote the attractions of our state to potential visitors.

“I strongly encourage fans from across Australia them to get in quick to secure their tickets to experience this epic Rugby League showdown.

“For those travelling to WA for the match, I urge you to stay in the state a little longer to discover more exciting WA experiences while you’re here.”

The 2022 Ampol State of Origin Series is supported by the Western Australia Government through their tourism agency Tourism WA.

Tickets are now on sale for all three Ampol State of Origin matches, as well as the Ampol Women’s State of Origin at Canberra’s GIO Stadium on June 24, via nrl.com/tickets.
