Capras maintain winning run, Townsville go back-to-back

Three tries to Central Queensland Capras winger Brandon Roberts has helped his side to maintain their undefeated run in the 2022 Hostplus Cup season, where they sit at the top of the table.

The Capras defeated Mackay Cutters 26-18 at Browne Park in their XXXX Rivalry Round match on Saturday evening after trailing 10-12 at the halftime break.

Elsewhere in Round 4's Saturday matches, the Townsville Blackhawks went back-to-back with a close win over Northern Pride in their match at Barlow Park in Cairns.

The visitors opened the scoring early when Blackhawks winger Kalifa Faifai-Loa crossed for the first of his two tries, but trailed 12-6 at the break.

However, they were able to hold the home side scoreless in the second half to post their second win of 2022.

At Bycroft Oval, Sunshine Coast Falcons were too strong for an improved PNG Hunters outfit who fought hard in wet conditions.

The XXXX Rivalry Round matches continue on Sunday, April 10, headlined by the feature match between Wynnum Manly Seagulls and Redcliffe Dolphins at BMD Kougari Oval.

You can watch this match on, 9Now, Kayo and Hostplus Cup Facebook page.

This season, all QRL statewide competitions matches will be broadcast via
