XXXX 47th Battalion: Rockhampton and Toowoomba crowned champions

Rockhampton have been crowned the 2022 47th Battalion men's champions, after overcoming a strong Bundaberg outfit in Gladstone.
And Toowoomba have gone back-to-back in the women's draw, after the Clydesdales defeated Rockhampton 26-8.
While the women's favourites maintained their momentum and walked away with the win, the men's draw was full of upsets as Rockhampton shocked competition favourites Sunshine Coast on Saturday to advance to the Sunday final.
They then went on to prove why they deserved their place, beating Bundaberg 24-16.
Bundaberg also caused an upset after they were the first team to win a place in Sunday's men's final, beating reigning champions Toowoomba 23-18 at Gladstone's Marley Brown Oval.
Rockhampton were the next to join them after they drew 8-all with Sunshine Coast.
In the case of a draw, it goes to the team that scored the most tries, with both sides scoring once each.
From there, it went to the team that scored first and that was Rockhampton.
Rockhampton will now meet the winner of the Foley Shield in the XXXX League Championship semi-final.
