Community Rugby League is the heartbeat of the game across Queensland, and the Hervey Bay Seagulls are helping strengthen that foundation by hosting an all-girls rugby league carnival from July 3-5.

Designed to support and further develop the women's game in a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment, the three-day event will bring together female players from across the region for a weekend of rugby league, learning and connection.

The carnival coincides with the BMD Premiership clash between the Wynnum Manly Seagulls and Western Clydesdales, adding another exciting element to the weekend's program.

Activities will begin on Friday with Wynnum Manly's open captain's run, followed by an NRL clinic, providing young participants with an opportunity to learn from elite-level players and coaches.

Saturday will feature Mini Mods fixtures throughout the day before attention turns to the highly anticipated BMD Premiership match in the afternoon.

The carnival concludes on Sunday with a series of representative fixtures across the Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 age groups. Off the field, players will also take part in educational sessions focused on opportunities and pathways beyond rugby league, helping to equip them with valuable skills for life away from the game.

Initiatives like the Hervey Bay Seagulls' all-girls carnival play an important role in creating positive experiences for young players while continuing to drive the growth and development of women's rugby league throughout Queensland.
