The Burleigh Bears and Central Queensland Capras will be aiming to make the most of a second opportunity this weekend when they host week two Hostplus Cup finals matches.
Burleigh can book a passage through to the preliminary final weekend with victory over the Townsville Blackhawks, while the Capras will also be eager to bounce back against the Ipswich Jets in front of their home fans.
A grand final appearance at Kayo Stadium on September 26 awaits this weekend’s winners.
The Sunshine Coast Falcons and Redcliffe Dolphins have already qualified for the preliminary finals after respective wins over the Bears and Capras in week one of the finals.
