YOU still have a chance to be part of State of Origin history with more than 5000 tickets available for the 100th game celebration at Suncorp Stadium on May 28.
Anyone who was present when Immortal and Queensland great Arthur Beetson led his mighty Maroons onto the home of Origin, Lang Park, on July 8, 1980, will never forget the experience and this will be another iconic event not to be missed.
Suncorp Stadium is the only place to be when Mal Meninga’s XXXX Queensland Maroons take on arch rival and great mate Laurie Daley’s NSW Blues in Game 1, 2014; epitomising mate against mate, state against state for the 100th time.
Queensland Rugby League Managing Director Rob Moore today confirmed the game is not a sell out and plenty of great seats still remain for one of Australia’s historical marquee events.
“The opportunity to celebrate 100 games of State of Origin is truly a one-off occasion and something people will talk about forever,” Moore said.
“Numerous special events and commemorative items are planned to celebrate this milestone across the entire game, but nothing will replace actually being there to capture your place in history.
“We still have plenty of options across all categories, with good availability remaining in Gold and Silver, along with limited seats in Bronze.
“Also for the first time ever we have opened dedicated supporter sections for the game’s most passionate supporters. We would like to think there will be much more maroon than blue, either way options are available for everyone to grab their slice of history.”
