Round 10 Preview

AUSCOAL Super Cup (A Grade)

Saturday 31st May.  Whitsunday Brahmans v Sarina at Proserpine.  7:00pm

The last time these sides met there were plenty of fireworks and both have proven their premiership credentials in the first half of the season.  Sarina will head north after a close loss against competition front runners Souths, while the Brahmans put Norths to the sword last week.  It will be a great Saturday nights entertainment in Proserpine with the Masters of League also playing on the card.  Brahmans by 6.

Saturday 31st May.  Moranbah v Magpies at Wests. 7:30pm

Magpies face the toughest road trip in the competition when they head out west on Saturday night.  They will however meet a Moranbah side that is yet to hit its straps.  The North Mackay side has struggled for points the last few weeks and will need some spark if they are to get the result this weekend.  Both sides enter the second half of the season as top 5 contenders but are currently sitting on the cliff edge.  Miners by 10.

Sunday 1st June.  Wests v Souths at Wests.  3:00pm

A huge Sunday afternoon at Tiger Park in Walkerston.  These two are the form teams of the competition so this shapes as an intriguing contest.  Souths still sit on top of the AUSCOAL Super Cup ladder after a strong win in Sarina last week.  Wests on the other hand continue to get the job done and were clinical last week against Magpies.  Wests chances may hinge on the fitness of Jardine Bobongie who is apparently under an injury cloud.  Wests to win at home in an ‘Origin’ like epic.

Sunday 18th May. Norths v Brothers at Norths.  3:00pm

Norths play their third home game in a row this weekend, although the fans have had little to cheer about.  Their uphill battle looks set to continue this weekend when they face a Brothers side looking to cement a spot in the top 5.  Brothers have struggled for consistency this year but will be far too good for Norths this week.
