The top of the table clash between Theodore Roosters (pictured) and Cherbourg Hornets at Theodore produced a great day of rugby league for the Reconciliation Week matches with juniors, women's and seniors game held.
In the men’s game, Theodore Roosters got off to a flying start leading 16-0 after 10 minutes but Cherbourg's attack quickly reunited to lead at half-time 22-20.
The second half saw Cherbourg's fullback Alex Speedy and winger Nathan Gadd both score three tries each and took Cherbourg to a strong 44-32 win in front of 400 people.
Central Burnett Fillies played Chinchilla Bulldogs in the curtain-raiser.
The Fillies were way too strong for Chinchilla with Theodore locals Sharnee Edwards scoring four tries and Krystal Salter three to win convincingly 52-12.
Monto Roos hosted Murgon Mustangs with Murgon smashing last year’s premiers 60-40.
Wondai Wolves destroyed a lacklustre Gayndah Gladiators with Shane Tilney scoring four tries in a strong performance.
