'He's one of those players who seem built for Origin'

Sidelined Matt Scott will be on edge as he watches the Maroons in Game I of Origin tonight (May 31),  the injured prop told QRL Media at the captain's run at Suncorp Stadium yesterday.

"I'm always going to get edgy, nervous and frustrated and everything else," the NQ Cowboy said.

"But I enjoy watching it. I love this team, whether it's the Maroons or Cowboys, I'm very passionate watching the game and just want the guys to do well."

Roosters firebrand Dylan Napa has been brought in to partner Nate Myles in the frontrow after Scott was forced out with an ACL injury.

"I'm really excited to see him play," Scott said of Napa.

"It's great that he's got his opportunity.

"Obviously I'd love to be there but he's one of those players who seem built for Origin and I can't wait to see him get out there and tear in, hopefully."
