Off contract young guns Tevita Pangai jnr and Corey Oates can become long-term superstars for the Brisbane Broncos and must be wrapped up long-term by the club.

That's the word from Steve Renouf in this week's NRL Podcast where the Broncos legend outlines why Pangai has the talent to become the best forward for the club since the retirements of Petero Civoniceva and Shane Webcke.

Renouf believes Oates will become a truly "great winger" for Brisbane but also warns that the duo need to be rewarded for their outstanding form in 2018 and be kept in the Brisbane roster well into the future.

Renouf analyses why the Broncos are on the cusp of putting together a run of victories now that captain Darius Boyd has got his mojo back at fullback.

He also explains why the Gold Coast Titans have erred by elevating Bryce Cartwright to the five-eighth role and says that Kane Elgey has been hard done by and should be recalled as soon as possible to get the Titans' season back on track.

Renouf analyses what is going wrong with the North Queensland Cowboys and why Wests Tigers remain a dark horse to give the premiership a real shake.
