The 2018 Harvey Norman Queensland Women's team.

The Harvey Norman Queensland Women's team are banking on their six debutantes to help launch Generation Next after NSW have managed to peg back results in recent years to currently hold the interstate challenge trophy, NRL.com reported.

The Maroons' mission of winning the first-ever women's 'Origin' shield hinges on how well new coach Jason Hetherington can have the side firing against a more fancied Blues outfit.

This year, what was previously the Women's Interstate Challenge has become the Holden Women's State of Origin.

The match is being played at North Sydney Oval, NSW, on Friday at 7.40pm.

HOW TO WATCH

The match will be broadcast live on Channel 9, FOX and the NRL App from 7.30pm.
