Dylan Napa's Queensland teammates breathed a sigh of relief when the big prop trained strongly for a second day at their Sanctuary Cove base on the Gold Coast on Thursday, suggesting the Roosters enforcer is right to take his place in Sunday's State of Origin game two in Sydney.

Napa again ran untroubled through most of the ball session against Queensland Residents, with fellow forwards Jai Arrow and Felise Kaufusi saying they would be surprised if he didn't play.

And they are rubbing their hands in glee at what Napa might unleash on the Blues after a disappointing game one.

"He brings a lot of aggression, it's something you want in the team – someone who wants to take out blokes," Arrow said.

"That's pretty handy. I don't like playing against him; he's a pretty fearful sort of bloke. You need his aggression in Origin, it's fast tough game.

"He was travelling pretty well [at training]; it's good to see him up and running.

"I think they'll make a decision soon. He's a tough guy who doesn't want to let anyone down and I'm confident he'll play and get the job done."

Kaufusi conceded Napa's absence would be a big loss, even though he is confident his Storm teammate Tim Glasby would do a good job in Napa's place.

"He trained most of the session and it's up to the medical staff now to clear him to play," said Kaufusi.

"He would be a big loss. Everyone knows what he brings to the team with his aggression and throwing his body at anything and everything that moves.

"At the sametime I think we have the depth to step up to Origin level."
