The CQ Capras took on the Souths Logan Magpies at Barcaldine Showgrounds last weekend, and the crowd was treated to an entertaining game.
Queensland Under 18 representative Tanah Boyd made his Intrust Super Cup debut for the Magpies and performed strongly at fullback, making 18 tackles and running for 126m in his 10 runs.
However, it was CQ Capras lock Jamie Hill who was a standout performing; helping his side to a win with his game-high 40 tackles and 193m from 16 runs.
He also scored an important second-half try in his side’s 28-22 win.
Elsewhere, PNG Hunters second rower Radley Brawa again topped the tackle count for the round with a remarkable 52 in his side’s close loss to the Dolphins – while Townsville Blackhawks fullback Zac Santo and Easts Tigers recruit Marion Seve both ran for 213m.
