Toogoolawah juniors turn out for holiday clinic

Nearly 100 juniors in the Toogoolawah area got the chance to hone their skills at the Holiday Clinic held recently.

The clinic onon July 6 was run by NRL Game Development Officers from Ipswich and Sunshine Coast regions with 85 children aged 5 to 13 years participating.

Held at Toogoolawah State School from 9am-1pm, the children rotated around various fun skills stations before breaking into teams and playing league tag. The Ipswich Junior Rugby League inflatable was also a big hit with the kids.

NRL Game Development Officer Steve Brown said it was an extremely successful day; so much so that more events could be on the cards for the region in the years ahead.

"Due to the great response we had this time, we are looking at the possibility of rotating the event between Toogoolawah, Kilcoy and Esk every year," he said.
