Redcliffe pair cleared for national final

Redcliffe Dolphins forwards Jamil Hopoate and James Taylor will be free to play in Sunday's Intrust Super National Championship final despite being reviewed for concerning incidents.

Hopoate was reviewed for a shoulder charge in the 5th minute of the Intrust Super Cup grand final win over the Easts Tigers.

The review panel deemed there was an attempt to wrap the arms and no further action was required.

Meanwhile, Taylor was placed on report in the second half of the final for an alleged crusher tackle.

The review panel determined that the movement was accidental and no charge was made.

Redcliffe faces the Canterbury Bulldogs in the national Intrust Super Championship game on Sunday, played as a curtain-raiser to the NRL grand final in Sydney.
