The thoughts of the Queensland Rugby League and the rugby league community are with all residents who have been affected by the ongoing emergency weather situation occurring throughout the state; especially throughout central and northern Queensland.
Bushfires across the state currently extend from north of Cairns to the NSW border with some areas at Emergency or Watch and Act status.
At time of publication, there were more 140 fires burning across the state with a ‘firestorm’ warning in some areas.
While you may not be in an area directly affected by bushfires, you and your families may be affected by smoke, road closures and school closures.
Please listen to authorities and act safely and quickly.
