Young rugby league players - inspired by NRL stars Jason Taumalolo, Tevita Pangai Junior, and the Fifita and Hopoate families - will take to the field in Tonga today for the Tonga Secondary Schools Rugby League Competition.

Tonga game development manager Tavake Fangupo said the finals for the under-14, under-16, under-17 and under-19 teams would be held from 9am today (AEST); and the games would be live streamed through the NRL in Tonga Facebook page

Fangupo asked rugby league fans to "watch and hopefully identify some young talent in Tonga".
