The best 'Player to bank on' for 2022 decided

The Auswide Bank Mal Meninga Cup competition has provided thrilling entertainment all season with outstanding performances from some of the best under 18 talent across the state. 

During Round 2 through to Round 7 of the regular season, one of the many talented players in the competition was highlighted as the Auswide Bank 'Player to bank on'. 

During the featured rounds, those highlighted were Norths Devils centre Shannon Subritzky Stewart, Western Mustangs talent Bailey Nash, Mackay Cutters gun Kai Simon, Townsville Blackhawks five-eighth Sean Bourke, Central Queensland Capras captain William Lewis and Wynnum Manly Seagulls forward Felix Faatili.

Each winner received a $100 Auswide Bank savings account. 

Queensland Rugby League and Auswide Bank asked fans to vote for their favourite 'Player to bank on' for the season and 6592 people responded.

Subritzky Stewart was a popular winner, taking out the title with 53 per cent of the overall votes.

The Norths Devils talent was closely followed by Wynnum Manly's Faatili, who had 34 per cent of the votes.

The votes were rounded up with Bourke on seven per cent, Lewis with four per cent, Simon with two per cent and Nash with one per cent. 

Subritzky Stewart was the Round 2 'Player to bank on' after playing a key role in his side's 58-6 win and will receive an additional $250 in his Auswide Bank savings account. 

The Auswide Bank Mal Meninga Cup competition will wrap up this weekend with the grand final being played at Sunshine Coast Stadium between Townsville Blackhawks and Souths Logan Magpies.

The game will be broadcast on QPlus.tv and Kayo Freebies.

The official Auswide Bank player of the year will be announced at the end-of-season QRL awards.
