Over the last six or so years we have been involved in semi-finals in all but one of the those years in the Premiers or Northside 1 competition.

The year, we missed out on for and against. Last season our Northside 3 and women’s teams won their respective competitions. Two years ago our Premiers side missed out on the premiership losing by golden point.

This season are Northside 3 team has kept turning up week after week, despite being on the wrong end of some big scores. Most of this team are new to our sport, but have displayed a great spirit to eventually win a couple of games at the end of the season.

Our Northside 2 side had a number of players in their first year in season of senior footy, again growing as the season progressed and playing semi-finals.

Our women’s team kept going week after week and playing with the spirit our great game was born on. They played in the top competition and learned some harsh lessons early, but in true Aspley spirit, they stuck together and already looking forwards to next year’s challenge.

Our Northside 1 team lead their competition for most of the year despite a horrific injury toll that eventually put paid to our season. The lads took out the Ted Beaumont Trophy and also Tyrone Lockery won player if the season for our comp, the third time in five years this has happened.

Regardless of the competition, our Devils play in they always display a great respect for the game, good sportsmanship and play a tough disciplined game.

We are all extremely proud of our club.
